Manchester Irish Festival

Be a part of the Manchester Irish Festival and let’s celebrate together the beautiful Irish culture, music and dance!

One of the largest festivals in the UK and in the world, the Manchester Irish Festival takes place every year since 1995. The first St Patrick’s Day parade was held at the Irish World Heritage Centre on the 17th of March 1990, where people paraded to St Chad’s Church. In 1993 the parade was extended to Manchester Town Hall and over the years, many members of the Irish Government participated and walked together including the Taoiseach and Ministers, Brendan Smith, Bertie Aherne and John O’Donaghue.

This year, the Manchester Irish Festival will start on the 3rd of March and end on the 19th of March. The great St Patrick’s Day parade will take place on the 12th of March and will start at 12:00 at the Irish World Heritage, from there we will walk together towards the Albert Square.

Explore the Irish heritage and celebrate the “County Pride”!

From Dublin and Antrim to Clare and Cork, this year’s Manchester Irish Festival’s parade theme will celebrate the roots of each of the 32 counties of Ireland. So, come join thousands of people in Manchester for this year’s Irish Festival and enjoy wonderful party atmosphere with interesting and fun celebrations.
